Gift Voucher: Food and Wine Pairing Tour of Edinburgh

An indulgent treat for a wine lover or foodie! 

The afternoon starts with Champagne at The Balmoral Hotel followed by white wine and a delicious food pairing. As you taste, you'll learn about the bubbles in Champagne, you'll explore the flavours of an Italian white wine and learn how to pair the wine with food. After an hour at The Balmoral, we walk a short distance through Princes Street Gardens to The Scottish Cafe and Restaurant where you will taste 2 more wines paired with beautiful artisan Scottish produce.

Leave room for dessert! Our third venue, the stunning dinning room at Twenty Princes Street is where we sit down to a very special Scottish sweet treat paired with sparkling wine.

The tour lasts approximately 3 hours . We visit 3 locations; each location is unique and memorable. Tours run rain or shine and venues are a short walk from one another so wear comfortable shoes. On the way your Guide will point out landmarks of interest and share local knowledge.

Tours are presented by Joanne or Bronwyn, both experienced and passionate tasters and foodies! We each have 15+ years working in wine tourism and trade. Your experience will be fun, relaxed and enjoyable. There are no silly questions!

Learn to taste 5 beautiful wines and how to pair the wines with artisan foods in 3 spectacular locations! Swirl Sip Socialise has created a Walking Food and Wine Tasting Experience of Edinburgh for you.

• 2pm start and finish at 5pm
• 2pm Champagne at The Balmoral Hotel, 1 Princes Street, Edinburgh
• A guided tasting of Champagne and 4 wines, including a dessert pairing
• 3 platters of food, one in each venue
• Presented & hosted by a qualified and experienced Wine Specialist & Presenter
• small groups - up to 10 guests per tour

• Short walks between 1st and 2nd venue and 2nd and 3rd venue. Experience food and wine presentations in each.
• Venues include The Balmoral & The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant and Twenty Princes Street but are subject to change depending on availability.*

How to order a voucher as a gift

If you would like to arrange a gift voucher for a friend or family member, please select either the one person option at £75 or the couple option at £150.

When you arrive at the payment page, please add check out using your email address. I will contact you by email you and for information on a gift message and the recipients email address. I will create a digital gift voucher (that won't include the price) and email the personalised voucher directly to the recipient on your preferred date. 

 How to use your voucher

Please choose your preferred date and email joanne@swirlsipsocialise.com to arrange a place on the tour or your choice. You will be issued a ticket and your place on the tour confirmed.

Validity

The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please note that you must have booked and used your voucher in the 12 month period. If there are no suitable dates available, please contact us before the 12 month period expires to arrange a possible extension.

Participant guidelines

Guests are requested to dress smart/ casual and to wear appropriate footwear for walking between venues.

The tours are open to guests 21+ years and older and you may be requested to show proof of age.

If any participants act in a disorderly or inconsiderate manner, they will be asked to leave the tour.
