A Walking Food and Wine Tasting Experience of Edinburgh: A Perfect Indulgence for Wine Lovers and Foodies!

The recipient of this voucher will take their taste buds on a journey with our unique tour – a perfect indulgence for wine lovers and foodies alike! Our three-hour tour begins at The Balmoral Hotel, where they will enjoy Champagne followed by white wine and a delicious food pairing.

They'll learn why Champagne sparkles, explore the flavours of Italian white wine and discover how to pair wine with food. After an hour at The Balmoral, we'll walk through Princes Street Gardens to The Scottish Cafe and Restaurant where you'll taste two more wines , one rose, one red, each paired with beautiful artisan Scottish produce.

Your friend will need to leave room for dessert! Our third venue, the stunning dining room at Twenty Princes Street, is where we'll sit down to a very special Scottish sweet treat paired with sparkling wine.

We visit three unique and memorable locations, each with its own distinct character. Our tours run rain or shine and are presented by Joanne or Bronwyn, both experienced and passionate tasters and foodies with over 15 years of experience working in wine tourism and trade. The recipient of this voucher will learn to taste five beautiful wines and discover how to pair them with artisan foods.

Here's what our tour includes:

• A guided tasting of champagne and four wines, including a dessert pairing
• Three platters of food, one in each venue
• A qualified and experienced wine specialist and presenter to guide you throughout the tour
• Small groups of up to 12 guests per tour
• Private group tours are available on request
• Short walks between the venues with food and wine presentations in each

If you're thinking of purchasing a gift voucher for a friend or family member, vouchers are priced at £125 per person. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. To use the voucher, the recipient simply chooses their preferred date and emails joanne@swirlsipsocialise.com to arrange a place on the tour of their choice. They will be issued a ticket and their place on the tour will be confirmed.

Please keep in mind that guests are requested to dress in smart/casual attire and wear appropriate footwear for walking between venues. Our tours are open to guests who are 21 years old and over, and we may ask for proof of age. Please note that if any participants behave disorderly or inconsiderately, they will be asked to leave the tour.

Validity

The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Please note that you must have booked and used your voucher in the 12 month period. If there are no suitable dates available, please contact us before the 12 month period expires to arrange a possible extension.

Participant guidelines

Guests are requested to dress smart/ casual and to wear appropriate footwear for walking between venues.

The tours are open to guests 21+ years and older and you may be requested to show proof of age.

If any participants act in a disorderly or inconsiderate manner, they will be asked to leave the tour. 

* Occasionally an advertised venue may not be available, the tour will still run and an alternative restaurant partner will be used.

Tours run rain or shine and venues are a short walk from one another so wear comfortable shoes.
